This week I decided to follow Darren's concept of finding a brew to taste that's within the 100km range of home(I also posted on a Friday instead of the “Thirsty Thursday”).
This beer starts a bit bitter, with more pine than citrus notes, and has cracker and floral flavors as well as a nice carbonation with a sweetness that sticks around after. It is a high strength beer but you really don’t taste the near 7% alcohol content and their hop selections (Mosaic and Galaxy) really compliment each other.
I like this beer as it has a lot going on. I’m also a fan of the curated artwork on all the beers they produce, along with scannable barcodes that take you to videos and music using the Blippar app, its for sure an interactive beer drinking experience. If you find yourself at the LCBO, pick up a few cans while they’re on rotation. I’m anxious to try their other beers.
